If you've already registered your cards with another school, you can re-link them to Sellwood Middle School. Also, if you haven't done so already, please remember to renew your registration each year by November 1st!
If you prefer, we can register AND renew your Safeway or other merchant cards for you. Simply fill out the information below, and return it to Diane Babbitt at dianecbabbitt@live.com or drop this form off at school. We'll take care of the rest!

PEAK PROGRAM UPDATE
The Peak Program will have the Red Cross Babysitting Class on Friday, November 6, 2009, in Room 111. This class will be all day from 8:45am-3:45pm. There are three openings for this class. The cost is $45.00. There will be a second class in the Spring. The First Trimester of PEAK Classes will end the week of November 20, 2009 and begin again the week of December 7, 2009. Students will have a chance to sign up for the Winter PEAK Term of classes. The booklets will be green this time. We have added Mr.Sossel's Movie Class and Chess along with the other classes. APPLE SALE
Sellwood PTA is excited to offer an opportunity to buy Hood River Apples just in time to make your Thanksgiving pies (or other desserts). We are offering 5 pound bags of Granny Smith and/or Golden Delicious Apples for $4.50 each. One 5 pound bag is approximately enough for 1 pie. Recipes utilizing these apples will also be included with your order! Supplies are limited so you must hurry!
Order forms are available in the office or you can download a form from the Sellwood website. Orders are due in the Sellwood Main Office by Monday November 9, 2009. Make checks payable to: Sellwood PTA.
These apples are being provided by a 3rd generation grower in Hood River. The grower will deliver the apples to Portland on Friday, November 13- they will be packaged and then will be available for pick-up on Saturday, November 14 at Sellwood Middle School parking area between 10am and noon.

BUY MAGAZINES TO SUPPORT SELLWOOD PTA
Magazine Sales are happening now - through November 3! This is a major fundraiser for the school and helps pay for classroom expenses. All students have received packets with ordering and prize information to take home. Turn in days for orders and to get prizes are before school in the cafeteria on Friday October 30th (8th graders can turn in orders in the afternoon when they return from their field trip), and Tuesday November 3rd. Postcard booklets can also still be turned in for a Ducks or Beavers lanyard plus keychain! Prize highlights: Six orders sold get Booster juice delivered to the student at lunchtime! Students get to spin the money wheel for 15 orders sold! Remember the easiest way to place orders is online: Go to QSP.com, enter school number: 425009786. Parents, family or friends can even renew current magazine subscriptions online and credit the school. Magazine online orders count toward student prizes if you enter student's name. 40% of all sales go directly to Sellwood Middle School!
